Please join the KC TEI chapter on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 2:30-4:30 at the T-Mobile corporate office, 6360 Sprint Parkway, Overland Park, KS 66211, room #1C364A. We are very excited to have Handy Hevener and Steven Johnson from Morgan Lewis as our presenters. Their bios are attached. Both are from the Washington, DC office and very entertaining presenters. All parking garages are free but garages L & M are the closest (map attached). Guests need to check in at the guard desk to get a visitor badge.
The presentation will be on current tax issues/updates on executive compensation, payroll, benefits, remote work and various other similar topics. Some other items discussed will be educational assistance programs to pay student loans for employees now that required payments have restarted, rules associated with catch-up contributions in 401(k) plans that are required to be made to a Roth account on an after-tax basis, how companies are getting employees back into the office, what benefits are being offered to encourage return to office and their related tax impacts, are employers getting better at tracking how much time is worked in each location (home & office) and allocating wages if the two offices are in different taxing locations, and many more.
