August 6-8, 2023 - The Allison Inn & Spa - Newberg, Oregon 
 
If you are a member of TEI’s Board of Directors, a Committee Chair, or Chapter President, please join us—in person—for what promises to be an exceptional event, complete with TEI leadership and governance meetings, timely technical, economic, and political briefings, and luncheons with special guest speakers, not to mention several robust social offerings designed to (re)connect you with fellow TEI leaders from around the world. (Members’ spouses and other guests are welcome to attend select meals and social events, as indicated in the meeting agenda.)
 
Who Should Attend
Registration is open to all members of TEI’s Board of Directors (including Chapter Representatives), Committee Chairs, and Chapter Presidents. TEI Committee Chairs or Chapter Presidents who are unable to attend the meeting in person are invited to nominate a Committee Vice Chair or Chapter Vice President to attend in their stead. And as always, there is no registration fee for TEI members who attend the Annual Meeting of Members; preregistration is required, however, and members are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses. Eligible members should have received an email with their link to register for this meeting; if you did not, please email meetings@tei.org.
 
Schedule of Events
TEI’s Executive Committee will convene for lunch and an inaugural meeting on Sunday afternoon. There will be a cocktail reception that evening to welcome all TEI members and their guests. Monday will feature a variety of timely technical presentations timely technical, economic, and political presentations, leadership meetings and roundtables, and plenty of networking—followed by a reception and dinner. On Tuesday, we will convene the Institute’s 2023 Annual Meeting of Members and first 2023–2024 Board of Directors’ meeting, followed by a closing luncheon.

Telephone or Zoom links for official business meetings (i.e., the Executive Committee meeting, Annual Meeting of Members, and Board of Directors’ meeting) will be available, on request, to those unable to attend in person. No remote/virtual attendance option will be offered for any other session.
 
Lodging
TEI has reserved a block of discounted guestrooms at The Allison Inn & Spa. To make your hotel reservations Hotel Information will be send to chapter leaders closer to the event.
 
Guests
Friends and family members are welcome to join select meals and social events, including the reception on Sunday evening, the reception and dinner on Monday evening, and the closing luncheon on Tuesday. All other events are limited to TEI members. The fee for spouses, guests, and children 12 and older is $120 (U.S.) per person; the fee for children under 12 is $60 (U.S.) per person. Dress
Suggested attire for all functions at the meeting is resort casual. Portland area weather can be variable, especially in the evening. Meetings rooms can sometimes be chilly, so it is good to have a light jacket or sweater available.

Registration

TEI's Updated COVID Policy - TEI’s top priority is ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees. Participants must adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the state and local health authorities in the jurisdictions in which our events occur. Participants may not attend TEI's Federal Tax Course - Level 1 if they feel unwell, have tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days before the event, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days before the event. By registering for this event, attendees affirm their commitment to comply with TEI’s in-person meeting guidelines.

If you register, but cannot attend the event for these reasons, TEI will work with you to transfer your registration to another event or provide a full refund. To do so, please contact meetings@tei.org.
