TEI Event Cancellation and Refund Policy

TEI-Initiated Event Cancellations and Event Over-Subscriptions

In the event TEI cancels a program or a program is over-subscribed, TEI will contact impacted program registrants within 2 business days of the cancellation using the email that was provided during registration process. TEI will return registration fees to the credit card used to register for the program or, if the registration fee was paid by check, issue a refund check to the person or organization that issued the original check.

Please allow 5 business days for cancellations to be processed and refunds to be issued prior to contacting us. In the event of cancellation or over-subscription of an event, TEI’s liability is limited to the return of the registration fee. Please send any questions to meetings@tei.org.

Participant-Initiated Cancellations and Substitutions

All participant-initiated cancellations must be made in writing and sent to meetings@tei.org. Cancellations made by 4:00 pm ET on XXXX [i.e., the date that is 3 weeks prior to the event start date] are subject to an administrative service charge of $75 (U.S.). For cancellations made after XXXX but before YYYY [i.e., the date that is 2 weeks prior to the event start date], the service charge is $200 (U.S.). No refunds will be made for cancellations received after YYYY and for no-shows.

To cancel, please send an email to meetings@tei.org. There is a $50 substitution fee assessed if you would like to change registrants; email requests to meetings@tei.org.
