President's Note, November 2021

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have a lot to be grateful for at TEI. Last month, we held our 76th Annual Conference at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Florida – our first fully hybrid Annual Conference, with hundreds of members participating virtually or in person. It was truly fantastic seeing and talking to so many of you face-to-face in meeting rooms and hallways.

Kudos to our TEI staff who put together a stellar program, as well as our talented speakers, sponsors, and moderators. And thanks to Jim Kennedy, his Executive Committee, and my current Executive Committee for having the wisdom and vision to make this entire event happen so magnificently.

I am also excited to report that TEI held its first CTO discussion roundtable on November 9. More than 120 heads of tax participated in this event, which focused on changes in the hiring market for tax professionals. Planning is underway for our next CTO discussion roundtable in December, which will focus on tax reform, as well as our Midyear Conference (March 20-23, 2022) and numerous other educational events, roundtables, and discussion series! Stay tuned and thank YOU for your commitment to TEI.

With gratitude,

Mitch Trager, TEI International President
