Competition Overview
Learn about the competition goals, format, and participating universities.

Goals & Purpose

  • Purpose: Inspire student interest in taxation through real-world case analysis
  • Format: Teams of four students will analyze and present solutions to an international tax case before a panel of judges
  • Network: Opportunities to connect with students and mentors from around the world
  • Prize: CAD $2,000 awarded by IFA Canada to the top team for Best Overall Presentation and Team Effort

Team Composition & Mentorship

  • One team of four students per university
  • Each team will be paired with two TEI-assigned mentors
  • Team Acceptances & Assignment of Mentors: Week of May 18
  • Welcome & Orientation Call: May 21
  • Team meetings with mentors will take place May - August 2026
