Dear Members and Friends of Tax Executives Institute Region II:

Our 11th Annual Tax Forum is now less than a month away.  The Region II Tax Forum will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 6  7 We are honored to have McDermott Will & Emery LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP partnering with us as co-sponsors of this year’s Tax Forum.

This year’s Tax Forum will include 4 plenary and 10 breakout sessions offering a wide selection of Federal, International, and State & Local topics.  In addition, we have added discussions of the IRS’ proposed debt equity regulations under Section 385 for two of the concurrent sessions (i.e., Sessions 6A and 9A).

Presenters will be the top-level speakers from our sponsoring firms.  From BEPS to whistleblower actions, from the reorganization of LB&I (with its new “issue focused” examination process, centralized risk assessment and issue selection, and “campaign” approach) to corporate restructurings, the Tax Forum has something for every corporate tax professional concerned with the key issues of the day.  Monday’s keynote luncheon speaker will be Barbara Harris, LB&I’s Director of Northeastern Compliance.  Other government speakers will include Catherine Jones, LB&I’s Director of North Atlantic Field Operations, and John J. Ficara, the new Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Taxation.

The $215 registration fee covers all of the technical sessions, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on both days, as well as our Monday evening reception.  An estimated 11.5 CPE or 8.5 CLE credits will be available.  And, once again, the Origins team will provide mini-facials, cosmetic makeovers, and gift bags.

As in the past, this will be a “green” meeting.  Handout materials will be available online only.  You will have the option of either printing the materials in advance or bringing a mobile device.  Although Wi-Fi will be available in all meeting rooms, you may want to download the materials in advance of the conference.

Whether this will be your first or 11th Region II Tax Forum, this will truly be an event not to be missed. To register go to https://2016taxforum.eventbrite.comTo book your room at the Borgata click here or call (866) 692-6742 and mention the TEI Conference Code GBTEI16A.
