Dear Members and Friends of TEI Region II:

As Region II Vice President it is my pleasure to invite you to the Eighth Annual Tax Forum to be held at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  The event starts on Monday June 10.2013 and concludes after lunch on Tuesday June11, 2013.

This year’s Tax Forum will be sponsored by Deloitte Tax and Skadden Arps.  The conference will begin with a legislative update featuring representatives from the firms’ Washington offices. We have added a session on Tax Technology and a Mergers & Acquisitions 101 session.   Our Luncheon speakers will include Fred Goldberg from Skadden, Phil Morrison from Deloitte Tax and TEI’s Executive Director Eli Dicker.  Additionally we will be honoring Past NY Chapter President and Regional Vice President Ray Gwydir.  Ray has recently retired from Estee Lauder and has been a key player in this conference.

The format and venue will be similar to prior years with a sit-down lunch on Monday and a reception Monday evening. Our sessions will cover Federal, International, State and Local, Executive Compensation and Tax Controversies.   An estimated 11.5 CPE and CLE credits will be offered.  The cost will remain at $195.

The Origins team will be back providing mini facials, cosmetic makeovers and gift bags.

    Saving the Environment

To be both socially conscious and to minimize costs, we will again be “going green”.  All course presentations and reference materials will be available online one week prior to the conference. You then have the option of printing out just what you need (either before the conference or after returning home) or bringing along your laptop or tablet to follow the presentations in the Wi-Fi enabled meeting rooms.

We hope you all will join us for a great educational program, which also provides the opportunity to network with other tax professionals - all at a reasonable price and at a great location.
