Our VP of Taxation leads the tax planning, research and compliance effort for all of our domestic and foreign members, including Harland Clarke, Valassis, Scantron, and RetailMeNot segments. The VP of Taxation leads a team of 10 tax professionals and coordinates tax planning with tax colleagues at MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated (“MacAndrews”), the Company’s sole shareholder. The VP of Taxation is responsible for implementing tax efficiency programs to accomplish group goals with significant group-wide financial impact. The VP of Taxation sets the Company's tax policy and acts as the authorized representative of the company before state and foreign taxing authorities.
Education & Knowledge Required:
Certified Public Accountant with over 10 - 15 years of tax experience (and 8 or more in a management position in a corporate tax department) with a concentration in corporate taxation and international transactions. MS in Tax or JD preferred.
Oversee the income tax department, VP of Sales Tax and outside tax advisors on an as needed basis.
VP of Tax interacts with senior members of the Company’s legal, finance and operations team. VP of Tax also coordinates with the tax colleagues at MacAndrews.
Requires extensive interpretation of information, high levels of judgment and creativity to determine corporate courses of action.
Must be self-motivated, possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and possess a commercial and process improvement orientation toward the application of tax principles. Superior personal computer skills with sound knowledge of Excel and Word in a Windows environment.
