This position is directly responsible for the Company’s quarterly and year-end Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP) results to ensure adequate and timely support from a financial, documentation and reporting perspective.

The individual will work with stakeholders across ZIMMER BIOMET’s finance team. This role will expose the individual to the end-to-end transfer pricing process and will provide detailed insight in the company’s’ global supply chain.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares computations and analysis to support the company’s quarterly and annual Transfer Pricing Monitoring Process, including maintenance of the global Trade Flow Matrix
  • Tracks, measures, reviews OUS Distributor profits via segmented P&L reports submitted by local country finance teams
  • Calculates and submits quarterly transfer pricing adjustments based on Distributor operating margin targets supplied by the tax transfer pricing team
  • Prepares quarterly US Segmented P&L Reports; calculates and submits quarterly transfer pricing adjustments based on Distributor operating margin targets supplied by the Tax Team
  • Support for international tax compliance, contribution to financial statement and tax return preparation on an as-needed basis. At quarter-end, assist with effectuating transfer pricing in legal entity profit before income tax calculations
  • Work in conjunction with the Transfer Price team to oversee, prepare, and management transfer pricing documentation
  • Operate as a liaison between the company and external third-party service providers, as needed
  • Supports the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 process and maintains Transfer Pricing Controls Supporting documentation
  • Responsible for the annual update of Transfer Pricing Factors globally
  • Analyze complex financial reporting systems, processes, and policies and overlay required transfer pricing policies and systems over those processes

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Exposure to intercompany transactions
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint; Hyperion experience is a plus
  • Possesses strong understanding of Global Transfer Pricing principles
  • Possesses some knowledge on the impacts of transfer pricing on quarter-end / year-end close cycles
  • Base accounting and an understanding of booking transfer pricing adjustments
  • Some knowledge of ASC 740 and FIN48 is preferred

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business; a post-graduate degree in business, accounting or tax is preferred
  • Possesses 4 or more years in a financial role, with two years of Big 4 experienced preferred
  • Understanding of transfer pricing principles, experience with operational and/or manufacturing is a plus
