71st Annual Conference

The three-day educational portion of this conference will be held at The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 16-19, 2016.


The preliminary program is now available. 


The 3-day conference provides approximately 16.0 credits based on a 50-minute hour, 13.5 credits based on a 60-minute hour. You may also earn 1 Ethics credit and 3 Financial Accounting credits as part of the program. There are no prerequisites nor is any preparation necessary. Conference hours and technical topics are subject to change.


Conference materials will be available in a secure section of TEI's website called TEIConnect that is available to registrants within 24 hours of registering for the event. You will be added to the group "2016 71st Annual Conference" and you will have access to the handouts, see announcements, and communicate with other registrants. Beginning two weeks before the conference, registrants will be able to access the handouts so they can download or print them out. No paper copies will be provided in your registration materials onsite. There will be no onsite printing facilities. There will be complimentary Wi-Fi onsite, but TEI encourages you to print documents of interest in advance. Materials will remain accessible by conference registrants for one month after the conference.


Online registration is now open for this conference ($850 Member-Early / $900 Member-Regular / Special First-timer rate for TEI members who will be attending their first TEI Annual or Midyear Conference $650 & $1,050 Non-Member-Early / $1,100 Non-Member-Regular / $500 Member in Transition rate). Please note that the early-bird discount expires on September 19, 2016. Registration for TEI Events is limited to members of TEI and other in-house tax professionals. Individuals engaged in private law, accounting, or other consulting practice, as well as government employees, are ineligible to attend.

Please note: Membership in Tax Executives Institute is on an individual basis. There are no "company" or "corporate" memberships. Only members of the Institute — or individuals whose membership applications are pending at TEI — are entitled to the register at the member rates. All cancellations must be made in writing by 4:00 pm ET on September 23, and will be subject to an administrative service charge of $75 (U.S.); for cancellations after September 23 (the date handout materials become available) and before October 3, the charge will be $200. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after October 3 and for no-shows. To cancel please send an email to meetings@tei.org. In the event of cancellation or oversubscription of the conference, TEI’s liability is limited to the return of the registration fee.​​​​​
