We are thrilled to announce the 2019 edition of TEI’s Audits & Appeals Seminar designed to address the federal, state and transfer pricing controversy needs of the in-house tax professional community.  From nuts and bolts to nuance, our program is delivered by a “best in class” faculty and is a “must attend” for every in-house tax professional involved with or responsible for tax controversy matters.

Preliminary Program Coming Soon!

Our seminar schedule is as follows:

May 20 - 21 – Federal Tax and Transfer Pricing Controversy: Utilizing case studies, member and practitioner-led roundtables, skills-based exercises and other formats, this two-day program explores the entire life-cycle of a federal tax controversy; in addition, practitioners from Mayer Brown will guide the transfer pricing dimensions of our program, including how to effectively prepare for, document and defend your transfer pricing methodology.

May 22 - 23 – State & Local Tax Controversy: Our two-day SALT controversy seminar explores today’s state tax issues likely to spur scrutiny and litigation, such as Wayfair and tax reform. Led by practitioners from Eversheds Sutherland, attendees will participate in a comprehensive, in-depth examination of SALT controversies, including state tax filings, audits, protests, litigation, and technology. In addition, included is a workshop on how to communicate effectively with non-tax professionals, including your general counsel, C-Suite leadership, judges, and legislators.  Finally, we will reprise our popular and provocative panel discussions with in-house state tax professionals, government state tax lawyers, and state tax jurists.
