Each year, TEI holds a two-day orientation session for its rising leaders - regional vice president, chapter presidents, and Executive Committee members. During the Leadership Seminar, the Institute's leaders refine TEI's goals for the year, reviews the Institute’s procedures and operations, and discuss best practices relationship to membership recruitment and retention, continuing education, networking, and advocacy. A segment of the program, which is normally held in late June each year, is also devoted to the administration and effective use of the websites that have been established for each chapter. Invitations to the Leadership Seminar are sent to the leadership cadre several weeks in advance.
