Welcome to the Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) TEI home page.
Please see this month's President's Message below, and we hope to see you at our meeting on Thursday, November 17th.
Fellow TEI Members,
I would like to thank John Wilde and his team at Integrys for putting together an excellent Accounting for Income Taxes program this past month. The program provided a great overview of the income tax provision process for tax and accounting personnel who have had limited involvement in this area. Based on the large numbers of attendees at this session and the dialogue during the social hour, accounting for income taxes is definitely an area of interest and concern within our member company’s financial reporting groups.
For our next month’s program Kim Sinclair, Joe Strong, and myself have lined up a great slate of presenters for our Chapter’s All Day meeting. We have included a broad array of topics that we hope will appeal to all members of our Chapter. In the morning session we will have an R&D and state credit update, an overview on federal considerations in M&A transactions, and an update on the new repair and maintenance regulations and other hot topics. In the afternoon session, Rick Chandler and Diane Hardt will start off by providing a WI legislative and audit update. We will then have a transfer pricing overview, and finish with a year-end international tax planning update. The meeting includes a morning continental breakfast, a buffet lunch, and our regular social hour. Please remember that our All-Day meeting is the main fundraiser for the four scholarships that our Chapter gives to area accounting students on an annual basis. We ask that you please consider this seminar for you and your staff’s educational needs.
Finally, as we head into the quickly approaching Holiday season, I would like to wish each of you safe travels and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Respectfully yours,
Paul
