Scholarship Night

The Cincinnati Chapter had its annual scholarship night on Tuesday, November 9. The program was ideal for all participants with outstanding ethics CPE provided by Xavier professor Paul Fiorelli and an equally outstanding tax update by Mary Lou Fahey (General Counsel for TEI). Also in attendance was past TEI New England chapter President Larry Peck
and his wife Barb.

Mary Lou Fahey was presented with TEI’s Meritorious Service Award by Tom Aydt on behalf of the Cincinnati Chapter in recognition of her 22 years of service to TEI.

Four $1,500 scholarships were presented. These scholarships are largely funded through the chapters golf outing coordinated by Tom Smith, Tom Finn and Scott Whitman. The golf outing is sponsored by several Big 4 and regional accounting firms. The support of all participants in this program is very appreciated.

The full list of partner universities also includes Miami University and The University of Cincinnati. Scholarships are rotated among partner schools; recipients are selected by university professors based on TEI criteria. Next year scholarships are tentatively planned for Capital, NKU, TMC and UC.
